Assigning additional system memory to the problem doesn't help, you won't gain anything. We are going to have to rely on Intel starting to write good drivers. Unfortunately, I don't think its possible to increase performance further.

All Intel iGPUs are supported by a kernel module called i915.It is found under Device Drivers-> Graphics support-> Intel 8xx/9xx/G3x/G4x/HD Graphics in the kernels make menuconfig.While the module is called i915 its actually a general driver for all Intel iGPUs. With my modified 2413 drivers Desktop and 3D gaming scores are 3.6 and 4.1! as can be seen here

Here is what I used to score with the following configuration: So I've taken up arms and modded some intel drivers What I've actually done is taken the latest Intel drivers meant for the latest i5 and i7 CPUs with on-die IGPU and modded them to work with laptop IGPUs.
